PHOTO OF THE MONTH
Terms and Conditions of Entry

1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these conditions of entry. By entering this competition, participants agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
2. Entry is only open to members of the Photograph Australia site who are Australian residents. Submitted photographs must be taken in Australia.
3. Employees of the Promoter and its agencies associated with this promotion, and their immediate families, are ineligible to enter.
4. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant for tampering with the entry process or submitting an entry, which is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions of Entry.
5. Only one (1) entry is permitted per person, per month. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries.
6. To be eligible to enter, submit your photograph by following the instructions at www.photographaustralia.com.au/photo_of_the_month. You must include your username with your entry. By submitting a photograph, along with your details, you will automatically be placed into the draw.
7. The entrant must be the photographer of the image and must hold the copyright on the entry.
8. Please limit JPEGs to 800 pixels on the longest side.
9. The promotion commences on Wednesday 01.02.12 and closes on Friday 30.11.12. All valid entries received by 11.59pm AEST on the last day of each month will be eligible for the monthly competition.
10. Submissions for each month will be judged on the first day of each month, unless that day falls on a weekend and then they will be judged on the first Monday of the month. The winning entry for that month will be posted on the home page at www.photographaustralia.com.au by 5.00pm AEST on the same day and will remain on the homepage for the rest of that month only. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
11. At the end of the competition period Steve Parish will select one winner from the 10 finalists. The winner will receive a Steve Parish Publishing book package valued at $150.00.
12. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.
13. In the event that for any reason whatsoever, a prizewinner does not take an element of the prize, then that element of the prize will be forfeited by the prizewinner and cash will not be awarded in lieu of that element of the prize.
15. By submitting an entry, Steve Parish Publishing is assigned the right to publish the entry on the Photograph Australia website and is permitted to resize, resample and crop the photograph as needed for best presentation on the site.
16. The entrant will retain all rights to the photograph and it will not be published anywhere else, except for use in any associated promotional material by Steve Parish Publishing (which may include announcing winners on the SPP Facebook pages, Twitter account, blog and other SPP owned websites), without further permission from the photographer. In all instances the image will be credited with the photographer’s name.
17. In the event that the Promoter is unable to contact the winning photographer by 31 January 2013, the remaining Photo of the Month winning photos will be judged a second time to establish a new winner, and that winner will receive the prize pack instead.
