Black Backgrounds .. The Musical

Hi All, I took these pics a couple of years ago (with Permission) @ one of my favourite Auditoriums to play & photograph for Theme & Jam nites ...

I selected these with black backgrounds, although they're a little soft ... I hope they work here...

Although not exactly nature photos.. I hope you like them anyway...

Hi MAZ.. These pics were all taken at Ellaways Auditorium Underwood Brisbane during my 2008
photo snapping frenzy there!!

The Last chap is Ken Westmore & keyboard player for the now defunct 9 pc Band "PlanBe",
a good friend and fellow Muso..

All Taken with Canon 450D , 55-250 kit Lens hand held, no flash @ ISO 1600 + 1 stop with Tungsten Balance for Stage lights, still a little slow & grainy , but that's the only top ISO I had!

Hi MAZ, I rekindled my passion for music in 2006 after my friend & drummer Ezio asked if I would like to put a band together with him to do a Weekend-Warrior Round @ Ellaways Music & We named it "Change For Five" & our debut was @ the Suncorp Piazza, Southbank, June 2006.

I have been involved with probably 6 Bands overall over 3 yrs playing Bass guitar & have enjoyed all the experiences in each in a different way & met some great people, just like here & learned a lot and had a blast!!

Hope all your questions are answered MAZ.. & yes he is married (the cute one) !!

I get the feeling we also have a Drummer in this forum!!... O.k.....put your Hand up Chris.... LOL

Do you know a childhood mate of mine - Bob Townsend? Has a band called "Cadillac" (last time I heard from him) on the Gold Coast.

MAZ, I'm a bit out of touch with the Band scene a bit of late, & I don't know Bob
Townsend at all sorry, there are some Great Bands down the Coast in June @ the Wintersun Festival & "Cadillac" might be playing there, or has in the past maybe.... ??

It's a great Festival, All 50's R&R , cars , dress.. and worth the travel!!
oh and ... Take your camera!!

nice i especially like the expressions its as if they are alone in the world oblivious to anything around them all that shows through is their love for what they are doing

Thanx Vickie, I tried to capture the personalities & Emotions in the Musicians as best I could.
It is a great experience to be a part of both Arts.. Music & photography & I love both.
