Arun... that is stunning! The expression on the little girl's face is really enigmatic. I wonder what she is thinking?

Please tell us a little about the acrobats? The child seems so young. From what age do the children do this activity?

Love
Maz.

They are trained as soon as they can walk. Maybe around four years of age or so.

I'm assuming the acrobatics are a cultural thing, Arun? Do these children go to school? Do whole families do the acrobatics? I'm intrigued.

The concentration in this pic is gorgeous... as is the lighting.

Love
Maz.

Maz

They are cultural in the sense that the training involves simultaneously the three fields:physical, mental and spiritual. The levels of the respective fields or the level of the combined output is a factor of the individual context in which a particular family is placed. Contexts are numerous as India is a vast country with different traditions in different areas. Whether children go to school or not--that is the question hard to answer. Innumerable variations.

All is relative, Arun. In the context of what you have written here, I guess one would do well to redefine "education"?

This child certainly looks mature beyond her tender years.

Maz.
